Berhan Hailu is the CEO of Berhan Brothers LLC, a co-owner of SHI Solomon PLC, and a founding partner of B2M International.
He is currently investing in Saudi Arabia and helping expand the Australian Tech company B2M International into the Kingdom. Previously, he advised Luxinvest Capital Advisors of Luxemburg and the Honorary Consul of Australia in Jeddah.
Today, Berhan is focused on leveraging digital technology for communities in the Gulf and Africa. His 40-year career includes roles in petrochemicals, media, investment, and event management, providing B2M clients with deep geopolitical expertise enhanced by extensive global travel and networking.
In the early 1980s in Saudi Arabia, Berhan worked with Shairco Group, became a correspondent for the Saudi Gazette, and produced his own current affairs TV show.
In 1988, he founded Effective Communication Ltd. partnering with the renowned Abudawood family, providing comprehensive communication services. He also co-founded ventures in event management and video and film production.
In the 1990s, Berhan played a key role in the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and the Jeddah Economic Forum, which aimed to rebrand Saudi Arabia’s global image.
In the 2000s, he facilitated major Saudi investments in Africa, thorough the Jeddah based HAZY International. He also played a role in HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal’s visit to Africa.
In the 2010s, Berhan held a senior position at Cristal Global, a leading multinational, focusing on global communication strategies.
Dedicated to humanitarian causes, Berhan advocates for hunger relief, income equality, human dignity, and environmental sustainability in Africa.
Berhan was educated in the U.S. and holds BA and MA degrees.
